How to read these numbers
A company usually carries several sector tags, so its rounds count towards each. Sector totals therefore sum to more than the total number of rounds, and two sectors here can describe the same round.
Only rounds with a publicly disclosed amount contribute to totals and medians. Roughly a quarter of rounds carry no amount, and those are counted in the round count but never modelled into a figure.
A sector appears only with at least 100 rounds in the last three years. Below that the quarterly shape is noise, and a chart of noise is worse than no chart.
